Something Special Box - Pearl Fantail

the perfect trinket box for jewellery (with a lovely velvet base) or just bits and bobs. these boxes are created using laser cutting to create an intricate design, adorned with a fantail in Mother of Pearl.

Materials: NZ Rimu Veneer, Mother of Pearl 

*Many of the products are made from kiln dried NZ Rimu Veneer, finished with a citrus based oil -  Ian also notes that there is no issue sending or taking their products overseas, just remember to declare it on your customs form.

Creating amazing creations with Rimu is Ian’s favourite thing - growing up on a farm in the Waikato he has been working with natural materials for a long time, and still loves the unique aspect of native NZ timbers. After a carpentry and cabinet making apprenticeship, Ian began working with wood, and is now based on the West Coast of the North Island, where he, his wife and two kids live, and where Ian draws much of his inspiration - from all things ‘Kiwi’ and the natural beauty of their surroundings. The company is proud to be NZ made, and all the wooden products are totally handmade by a team in Riverton (west of Invercargill). Each piece is cut using laser technology and is then assembled and finished by hand, with great care and attention to detail.
