This Matariki we focus on the symbol of the star intermingled with the dynamic Kowhaiwhai pattern. For a bit of added luck, we have the Tiki symbol proudly suspended inside our starry landscape. These Tiki are representations of ancestors, please treat the Tiki pieces with respect and reverence. Do not place food on the shallow dishes, use them for display or to hold treasured items like rings.
Completely hand made using clay and a process for glazing and scraffitto techniques.
All pieces are fired ceramics and therefore water safe.
Vase measures approx. 8cm high, 8cm wide around the body and 3.5cm wide around the neck.
