ARTIST STORY- IRINA VELMAN AND JULIAN HINDSON

We are all back in our six stores (hooray!) and lining our walls with some fabulous new art releases we just had to share. Also they fit in perfectly with our celebration of the Huia bird this month. Our ever popular West Coast artist Irina Velman is joined by a new addition to our whanau, Julian Hindson. Julian is also from Auckland so we are super chuffed to be supporting a couple of Aucklanders like us emerging from the undergrowth of level 3! Enjoy these gorgeous new works.

Irina Velman:

Irina Velman is a painter based in the West Auckland. Irina is Russian born and travelled around the world before settling down Waitakere. Irina is known for her styler of vibrant paintings and she describes painting as her source of happiness. Her surroundings fuel her creativity and are the subject of a lot of her works.

Julian Hindson:

Julian’s photorealistic digital painting technique stems from his career in graphic design and art direction. From an early age Julian has focused on creating a dynamic aesthetic with his work by painting with light to create lush, saturated compositions that draw the viewer in. Julian is a full time artist and designer and can be found most days in his Auckland studio working on something that little bit special.
