Nichola Jewellery - Nichola Te Kiri
Nichola Te Kiri is the creative force behind ‘Nichola’ - creating beautifully contemporary Maori designs, all designed and made here in Aotearoa. Being of dual Māori and Pākeha heritage, Nichola was raised in Kirikiriroa (Hamilton) and her upbringing within two worlds has helped develop her aesthetic for bold and courageous designs - drawing inspiration from the natural environment around her as well as her heritage and upbringing.
From humble, handmade beginnings of polymer clay and bead earrings to mixed media pieces, Nichola continually evolves her designs. Her belief in telling a story is important to Nichola and every item has a journey from inspiration to creation - it is the sharing of this story which makes the taonga come alive.
