News- Saving Kiwi's With Kat Merewether

October is Save The Kiwi month and its no surprise to us that Kiwis For Kiwi have made Kat Merewether an official ambassador. Her beautifully written and illustrated books feature the sassy, intelligent and nature loving character Kuwi...who happens to be a little Kiwi bird. 

We are excited to take part in Save The Kiwi month with Kat. Pop into the stores this month and you'll find the whole series of Kuwi books and products nestled in balloon festooned displays. There will be give away prizes in each store, and every Kuwi book will come with a free baby Kuwi soft toy...it's adorable! Tiny Kuwi Kiwi's everywhere!  

20c from every Kuwi the Kiwi book purchased is donated to the Kiwis for kiwi charity. So far Kat has raised over $10,000 from book sales to help with kiwi conservation projects throughout New Zealand. The commitment to raising funds for kiwi conservation was partly inspired by her father, a "conservation buff", who worked for the Wildlife Department (later the Department of Conservation) when she was a child.

Every $100 raised is enough to protect a kiwi for a year. Take part with us. Purchase a Kuwi book for the wee ones in your lives and inspire a new generation of Kiwi's to treasure Kiwi's.
